Duly noted that Charley Rome is showing as registered in 15-29 Cat 1 but he will be racing 40-49 Cat 1 with the appropriate mileage of 4 laps/22 miles.
Any recommendations on where to stay? Also trying to find best directions. Searching on iPhone is tedious.
There are several hotels in Laplace and kenner. Both are about 15 minutes away from the trail. Do there is camping at the spillway with a permit. The permit is free. Here is the link for the permit

The weather forcast for the week leading up to and including Sunday so far looks like it will deliver perfect racing conditions. I cannot wait for this raceday as the Spillway Scramble always seems to deliver one heck of a good time. It also doesn't hurt that my brother Ron is cooking a huge pot of jumbalaya!!!
